Mid-back Pain
Mid-back pain is usually found as pain between the shoulder blade and spine. It is not uncommon for the pain to be bilateral. The pain is generally a constant, dull ache, but sometimes can be sharp upon taking a breath.
Mid -back pain is usually caused by poor posture, stress or an injury such as excessive coughing.
Symptoms
Mid-back Pain symptoms are varied but many describe the following common complaints :
· muscle aches.
· dull pain.
· a burning sensation.
· sharp or stabbing pain.
· muscle tightness or stiffness.
Causes of mid-back pain can include :
· Overuse, muscle strain, or injury to the muscles, ligaments, and discs that support your spine.
· Poor posture.
· Pressure on the spinal nerves from certain problems, such as a herniated disc.
· A fracture of one of the vertebrae.
