3 easy ways to fit more daily exercise into your routine
We all know that daily exercise makes a BIG difference to our fitness, strength and mobility and overall health but many people struggle to find the time to fit it in. Here’s 3 tips to add more exercise to your daily routine without much effort:
1. Don’t drive or commute all the way to the shops or work. Park the car or get off the bus/train a stop away to add a walk in each way. Even 15-20 minutes to and from will add 30-40 minutes on to your daily total!
2. When you walk to the mailbox or put out the bins, keep going. Once around the block might be all that’s required to reach your daily step goals and hey, you’re already out there and moving – why stop now?
3. At the shops? Do a circuit or two. This is such an easy way to add more steps in, each day. Simply walk from one end of the shopping centre to the other and enjoy the window shopping along the way. It’s surprising how far it can be and how much the steps add up from an extra lap or two.
